Ever since my daughter got this dress for her birthday a long, long sixteen months ago, it has tortured my photographer’s mind in a major way. I had this vision of her wearing the dress in a gorgeous, sunny field of strawberries. Well, we never got a chance to go out picking last year, so every time she has worn the dress since then (or if I even saw it hanging in her closet) I felt a little pang of sadness. The stars finally aligned yesterday. It was an absolutely gorgeous first day of summer, we had a free evening, and thank GOODNESS the dress still fit! We had such a fun time checking out a new-to-us berry farm a few miles from our house. She picked and picked until her little berry-stained fingers couldn’t pick any more, and the photos turned out even sweeter than I imagined they’d be. And the best part? Strawberries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

It doesn’t seem possible, but the holiday season is almost upon us!
I am officially booked for the remainder of 2015, but you have one last chance to sneak in a quick session. I’m opening up the weekend of November 21st and 22nd for Christmas mini-sessions. This is the perfect chance to get an updated photo of your child, and it’s just in time for use on holiday cards or for gifting during this busy season! These sessions are best suited for younger children and babies who are able to sit unassisted.
The mini-sessions will be ten minutes in length. The cost is $75, which includes an online gallery of five images from which to make your choice. One high resolution digital file is included in the purchase price. You’ll receive 20% off any additional purchases, and holiday cards will also be available!
We had such a great time at holiday minis last year…can’t wait to see you all again! Email katie@katiegarber.com for more information or to book.

When my good friend Amy was headed out of town for work this past spring, her husband contacted me to set up a secret photo session in order to surprise her with some portraits of the two most important people in her life for Mother’s Day. We lucked out with a gorgeous evening and were able to capture some super sweet father-daughter moments that would melt any mom’s heart. I was so happy to be a part of this surprise!

Ian’s dad contacted me to schedule a one year photo session for Ian as a surprise for his wife for Mother’s Day…does he win husband of the year or what?! I really enjoyed getting to know this sweet family of three. Like all toddlers, Ian was full of energy and curiosity and I think we captured that perfectly with these photos!
