When Grayson’s mama reached out to book his newborn session, I was so excited! She was the beloved first grade teacher of both of my older two kiddos, and since she had moved away it had been a few years since I’d seen her and her family. I photographed Grayson’s big sis as a newborn as well, so it was extra fun to get to see her now that she’s so grown up.

This past fall I was SO excited to have several opportunities to photograph the brand new little siblings of some of my past newborn clients. I’ve said it a million times, but it is just my favorite thing to watch these sweet babies grow, and to get to watch families grow is amazing too! I was sworn to secrecy as Ben’s mom wanted to keep his newborn photos under wraps until after the holidays since she was using them as gifts for family. It was so hard not sharing these as they’re some of my favorite newborn shots ever!

From the time I was contacted by a friend of this mama’s shortly before her baby shower, I couldn’t wait for Liam’s newborn session! This friend arranged for a gift certificate for newborn photos…talk about the perfect baby gift, right? It was nice catching up with Liam’s parents, who I knew from high school but hadn’t seen in forever. And as if this session wasn’t great enough already, Liam wins an award for the smiliest baby EVER. Just adorable!

Fall is always such a busy season for family photo sessions, since the weather and scenery are both absolutely gorgeous! For the past few years I have had the privilege of taking family portraits for Amy and her family during this beautiful time of year. Since Amy is a photographer herself, she has an amazing eye for what will photograph well. I always love her wardrobe and location choices. This adorable family of three is always a favorite of mine!

One year photo sessions are such a fun way to document baby’s first birthday, and Izzy’s did not disappoint! She was full of personality the whole time. Isn’t her smile infectious?! And those eyes!!! Though we had lots of fun playing, I’d have to say that her favorite part was probably the cake smash. Can’t say that I blame her!
