I was so excited when Devon contacted me to schedule a maternity session, and even more excited when she decided to book a newborn and one year session as well! There is something so special about documenting young families like these during the most important times in their life, and I am honored to be capturing these memories for them. Their maternity pictures are some of my favorites; it was hard to narrow it down to just a few to share! And I absolutely cannot wait to meet their little guy in just a few short weeks!

I was so excited to meet Miss Ruby at her newborn photo session! Since she’s a member of my Watch Me Grow program, I had met with her parents previously for a maternity session and I already had an idea of just how anxiously they were awaiting the birth of this precious baby! It was so sweet to witness this new family of three; the love and emotion they were feeling was so apparent in their first official family portraits. Ruby’s newborn photos are without question some of my favorites ever!

This session was something a little different from my typical studio newborn photography. When preparing for the birth of my newest niece this summer, my sister-in-law was interested in what is typically known in the photography world as a Fresh 48 session – newborn pictures taken in the hospital setting within the first two days of a baby’s life.
I had so much fun documenting all of the little details, and there is definitely something amazing about capturing this special time! Fresh 48 sessions will now be offered in addition to my regular studio newborn sessions. Contact katie@katiegarber.com if you are interested in learning more!

The week that we chose to shoot Cyra’s senior pictures was a very stormy one, so it was a struggle to find a time for her photo session when it wasn’t literally pouring outside. The sky was so dark and gloomy I thought for sure it was going to rain at any minute, but thankfully it held off and we were able to find some gorgeous light regardless. I loved getting to know this beautiful young lady!

Some of my favorite photo sessions are with returning clients; I have had the honor of taking Miss Leah’s portraits since she was born. It is always fun to see her, and of course to see how big she is getting. At two years old, she is full of spunk and energy, and we got some photos that capture exactly that! Isn’t she sweet?!

This adorable brother and sister pair recently came to see me for a photo session. Their mom said it had been quite some time since they had professional portraits taken and that she had been searching for just the right photographer. I was so honored and grateful that she chose me. This little duo was adorable, and I loved the outfits they came dressed in. They look like little models! Here are a few of my favorite pictures from their session.
