Marilyn’s newborn session was a favorite of mine during this very busy spring. I absolutely loved snuggling with this precious baby girl…that’s easily the best part of being a newborn photographer! Her delicate little features made my heart melt, and I adore the way her portraits turned out.

Fisher’s mama had contacted me mid-way through her pregnancy with a special idea in mind for his newborn photo session and I’m so glad she did! I have limited space for newborns each month, so it’s really never too early to secure your spot. I was so happy to help her with her vision and I love the way the rest of his session turned out, too!

All three of my beautiful nieces were needing some updated portraits, so we went out on a gorgeous summer evening for a quick family session. Since the youngest had just turned one year old, we even squeezed in a cake smash. My sister-in-law did a fantastic job making the birthday cake!

When Liam visited me for his newborn photo session, he was the perfect little model. Such a sleepy little guy! We got so many adorable pictures, including one of my favorites with his big brother who I also photographed when he was first born! Several of my previous newborns are becoming big brothers and sisters this year. It’s so exciting to see them grow up and I’m happy to help document this precious time for these families!

I had been looking forward to Avery’s newborn photo session for quite some time, since his mama contacted me to sign him up for my Watch Me Grow program early in her pregnancy. He was just as handsome as can be, and his super cute big brother came along for a few pictures as well. I got the feeling these two are going to be best buddies!

I was thrilled to be able to fit in a newborn session for this handsome little baby boy right before the holidays! His mama decided to set up a session right after he was born, and I’m so glad she did. We got some amazing photos capturing all those little details that she’ll want to remember forever!

My little girl is learning how to read and she loves it so much. It reminds me of myself when I was little, and I wanted to do something special to capture her excitement about it. We spent our girl time this weekend doing a mini photo shoot for her and we had so much fun! What started out as an idea for four or five simple photos in my head somehow turned into a marathon session. She really got into it and kept coming up with her own ideas long after I was ready to call it quits! Of course we had to incorporate her favorite books…her Junie B. Jones collection. I started reading these books to her back when she could only recognize the most basic of sight words, usually reading a chapter out loud to her every night at bedtime. We have shared so many snuggles and laughs over these books! A few weeks ago I read her a chapter and tucked her in as usual, and assumed that she had gone to sleep. An hour or so later I heard RUNNING footsteps and she was so excited she could hardly speak. She had stayed awake, and using a flashlight (little sneak!), she had read the entire rest of the book by herself! So it’s official…she can read!
We had so much fun together documenting this milestone for her. My little reader. Love her!
